Hurricane Prep

The last 2 days have been spent preparing for Hurricane Matthew!  The windows at our home and the guest house are boarded up, solar panels are taken down, we have water ready, and have done everything we know how to do to prepare.  Now, we wait and trust the Lord.img_6091img_6094img_6095

Pray for the Lords protection, that He would prepare our hearts for what we will find in the aftermath, and that ultimately He would be glorified.

We read in Psalm 93:3-4, “The seas have lifted up, O Lord, the seas have lifted up their voice; the seas have lifted up their pounding waves.  Mightier than the thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the sea- the Lord on high is Mighty.”

  1. Dear Scott and Mandy and family, We are praying for your safety and protection for the people of Haiti. May you all be spared great harm to your homes. Isaiah 43:1-4 We enjoyed a short visit with your parents last weekend. It’s always a fun time with them. Love to each of you…may God wrap His arms around you and keep you safe. Love Sharon

  9. Up tonight praying for you and Haiti. The families I visited last November live so close to the coast. There are not enough tractors and people to keep the roads up after the regular rains, can imagine the problems this storm could cause. Too many thoughts for words- thankful that God is greater than the storms of life.

  10. We have been praying for everyone’s safety. We pray that Hati can recover from Hurricane Matthew. Anxious to hear that you are all safe.

  11. We have been and will continue to pray for your family! We love you all very much and trust in our great God to give you the grace and wisdom you will need in the days ahead. Sam, Marjorie, David, Samantha, Patrick, and Benjamin
